Mendez is confident that only one fighter can defeat Makhachev

AKA gym head coach Javier Mendez believes that his fighter Islam Makhachev will win a potential fight with Dustin Porier. According to the specialist, the Russian can only be defeated by one lightweight - his friend and sporting partner Khabib Nurmagomedov.

"Who will win in Islam's fight against Dustin? I think the only fighter who can beat Islam is Khabib. Sure, anyone can catch you with one punch, take advantage of a mistake. But in a broader sense, only Khabib can defeat him on points and overpower him - no one else can do that to Islam," Mendez said on his podcast.

Makhachev fights next against Rafael Dos Anjos on October 30 at UFC 267.
