Ukrainian Anna Lysenko in one-eighth of the Olympic tournament in Tokyo in the 69 kg weight category won by a unanimous decision of the judges over Umaimu Belahbib of Morocco, the African boxing champion of 2017 and the winner of the bronze medal at the 2019 African Games. At the end of three rounds, all the judges gave a score of 30-27 in favour of the Ukrainian.

"Felt like I was winning, leading as the fight went on. My opponent is a dirty boxer. I tried to abstract away as much as possible and show my boxing. There were a couple of moments - head shots, open gloves. Task was to work clean and contain her. With the coach will do a review of the fight and prepare for the next fight," said Anna after the fight.

Now on July 30, Lysenko will fight with Busenaz Sürmenelli of Turkey for a place in the semi-finals.
