Lomachenko and Commey are close to signing contract

Vasyl Lomachenko (15-2, 11 KOs) and Richard Commey (30-3, 27 KOs) are close to reaching an agreement on the fight, which should be the main event of the Top Rank evening scheduled for December 11 in New York. Negotiations on this matter have been going on for several days.

In June the Ukrainian returned to the ring after last year's defeat by Teofimo Lopez. Lomachenko stopped Japanese Masayoshi Nakatani in a one-sided duel.

A rematch of Lopez and Lomachenko is tentatively scheduled for next year. However, it is not known whether the American will decide to try his hand at heavier weight classes.
