Inoue defeats Dasmarinas in three rounds
In the main event of the Top Rank evening in Las Vegas Naoya Inoue (21-0, 18 KOs) stopped Michael Dasmarinas (30-3-1, 20 KOs) in the third round and defended his WBA and IBF bantamweight belts. The Japanese sent his opponent to the floor three times with punches to the body. After the second fall in the third round, the fight was stopped. For Inoue, this was the mandatory defense of his IBF championship belt.
At the same evening, Michaela Mayer (15-0, 5 KOs) defeated Erika Farias (26-5, 10 KOs) via unanimous decision to defend her WBO super featherweight title. After ten rounds, the judges counted 97-93 and 98-92 twice in favor of Mayer.
