Bob Arum announced that Terence Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) will not return to the ring until October. This means that the WBO welterweight champion of the world, who last fought in November, will receive an almost one-year break from battling in the ring.

Recently, it was reported that Josesito Lopez (38-8, 21 KOs) could become Crawford's next opponent. In his last two professional fights, Lopez defeated John Molina and Francisco Santana. The boxer from California had last fight in December.

Previously, there were preliminary negotiations to organize fights between Crawford and Shawn Porter and Manny Pacquiao. Ultimately, Porter will have a rematch with Keith Thurman in the fall, and Pacquiao will cross gloves with Errol Spence Jr. in August.
