Joyce to defend his European title on 24 or 31 July in England

On July 24th or 31st, Joe Joyce (12-0, 11 KOs) will make his first defense of the European Heavyweight Championship in England. The name of the rival of the British fighter has not yet been announced.

The official contender for the EBU belt is Marco Huck (42-5-1, 28 KOs), but it looks like the German will have to wait for his chance. However, the European Boxing Union announced bids to organize this fight on June 14th.

Joyce recently planned to fight Oleksandr Usyk, but ultimately the Ukrainian will face Anthony Joshua in his next performance. Joyce stopped Daniel Dubois in November.
