Gervonta Davis (24-0, 23 KOs), one of the most talented of the younger generation of fighters, faces serious problems with the law following his car accident.
The incident took place in Baltimore, Maryland, less than a week after Tank's victory over Leo Santa Cruz. The 26-year-old WBA Light and Super Featherweight Champion pulled into an intersection at a red light, hit a Toyota car that was moving correctly, and then fled the scene, leaving four injured at the place. At the time of the accident, the American fighter did not have a valid driver's license.
In connection with this incident, Davis was charged with a total of 14 charges, which are punishable by imprisonment for more than 7 years. Floyd Mayweather's fighter is facing three parallel beatings lawsuits, one of which concerns domestic violence.
