Yan's manager reveals plans for rematch with Sterling

Former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan's manager Sayat Abdrakhmanov revealed when his client's second fight against Aljamain Sterling could take place .

“The most realistic deadline for a rematch is May. That would be perfect for us. The UFC wants this to happen as soon as possible too. It all depends on Sterling. Does he want to pull, or wants to quickly prove in battle that he is a real champion,” Abdrakhmanov said.

On March 7 at UFC 259, Yan lost his championship belt in a fight with Sterling. In the 4th round, Peter delivered an illegal knee blow and lost by disqualification. At the time of the stoppage of the fight, the Russian was winning by split decision.
