Ferguson vs Makhachev may take place in July

Russian UFC lightweight Islam Makhachev said he could face the former interim champion Tony Ferguson in July.

“I will train during Ramadan as well. I understand that the years go by. The ideal date for the next fight [against Ferguson] is July,” Makhachev said.

On March 7 at UFC 259 Makhachev defeated Drew Dober with a chokehold. As for Ferguson, he had his last fight in December last year, losing by decision to Charles Oliveira.
