British heavyweight contender Joe Joyce is convinced that mandatory contender for the WBO title, Alexander Usyk will agree to fight him on foreign territory.
“Now Usyk is the first number in the WBO rating, and I am the second. It would be logical if we fight each other. Moreover, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are working on their own fight, perhaps not even one. WBO supports this fight, they want to arrange it, and the fans want to see it.
"I know Usyk has a lot of fans in the UK. He was never afraid to travel. I remember fighting him at the World Series of Boxing in East London. It seemed to me that I was performing in Ukraine.
"Apparently, all Ukrainians living in the UK come to support their guys when they perform. If the fans are allowed to attend our fight, the atmosphere will be great. His fans will bring drums, sing and shout, so I'm sure it's not a problem for him to fight here," Joyce said to The Sun.
