Eddie Hearn announced that negotiations for the fight between Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (24-1, 21 KOs) are close to completion. The parties are now exchanging final comments on contracts to be signed in February.
“We sent them a contract, received minor comments, but they are not critical. All indications are that everything will be signed it in the next two weeks,” the head of Matchroom Boxing said.
The fight with the WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF championships belts at stake is in June. It is not yet known where the battle will take place, but this issue will not be resolved until March.
“Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, China and the United States remain in the game. Firstly, we want to sign contracts, and when we have a complete set of documents, we will start concrete negotiations,” Hearn added.
