The heavyweight unification bout of Anthony Joshua (24-1, 21 KOs) and Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) is scheduled to take place in June. The WBO announced that the winner of this fight will have 180 days to cross gloves with the best in the fight for the interim World Boxing Organization belt between Alexander Usyk and  Joe Joyce.

The IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO championship belts will be at stake in the Joshua vs. Fury duel. The British agreed that two of their fights will take place this year, which means that the WBO recommendation may not be implemented.

However, it is possible that one of the boxers will be injured in the first fight, which will prevent him from participating in an immediate rematch. In this situation, Usyk or Joyce may receive their big chance.
