Andrade vs Williams for WBO title on 17 April

On April 17 it is planned to organize a fight of the WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade (29-0, 18 KOs) and Liam Williams (23-2-1, 18 KOs). The Briton is the official contender for the World Boxing Organization belt.

The fight will take place as part of the Matchroom Boxing evening in the USA. The WBO recently announced the promoters of both fighters to begin negotiations on this matter. Teams will most likely be able to come to an agreement without entering promotional bids.

The last time Andrade fought was June 2019, when he defeated Maciej Sulecki on points. Williams knocked out Andrew Robinson in the first round in his last performance.
