Joe Joyce (12-0, 11 KOs) and Alexander Usyk (18-0, 13 KOs) will battle for the interim WBO heavyweight belt in the second half of May. The fight will take place in the UK.

More and more sources report that negotiations on organizing a meeting of the Ukrainian and the British are progressing further. An official announcement by the World Boxing Organization in this regard is also expected.

The winner of Usyk vs Joyce fight will be the obligatory opponent for the winner of Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury fight. The fight for the undisputed heavyweight title is scheduled for June.
