In early May at the Top Rank event in the US a unification super lightweight bout between WBC and WBO champion Jose Ramirez (26-0, 17 KOs) and WBA and IBF champion Josh Taylor (17-0, 13 KOs) may take place. This was stated by Bob Arum in an interview with talkSPORT.

The date of the fight for the title of the undisputed champion in 135 pounds has already been postponed several times. Taylor last fought in September and Ramirez in August.

The official contender for the WBO belt, Jack Catterall, will be able to face the winner of this fight. Teofimo Lopez, who recently received his entire set of lightweight championship belts, is also looking to challenge the new king at 135.
