Callum Smith (27-1, 19 KOs) is looking to pursue his career in the light heavyweight division. The former super middleweight champion plans to rest in the coming months following his recent defeat at the hands of Saul Alvarez.

Smith, 30, won the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS) in the super middleweights and has been the holder of The Ring, WBA and WBC Diamond Champion belts. After being defeated by the Mexican, the boxer from Liverpool lost all his titles.

It is possible that at light heavyweight, Smith will be able to cross gloves with Joshua Buatsi. Both fighters are under contract with Eddie Hearn.
