Golovkin and Szeremeta make weight

Gennady Golovkin (40-1-1, 35 KOs) and Kamil Sheremeta (21-0, 5 KOs) met the middleweight limit at the official weigh-in ceremony before the Matchroom Boxing evening in Hollywood. Fighters will compete for the IBF world title, which belongs to a fighter from Kazakhstan. Golovkin's weight was 159.2 pounds, Szeremeta was 159 pounds.

For the Pole, this will be the first fight for the championship belt in his career. Golovkin won the title of the International Boxing Federation last October, and during his career he defended the world champion belt in the middleweight category 20 times.

The boxing night will be broadcast on the DAZN platform. The broadcast starts on Friday at 8 pm ET.
