Stanionis stops Gonzalez at the PBC evening

Eimantas Stanionis (12-0, 9 KOs) defeated Yaner Gonzalez (19-4-1, 15 KOs) via TKO in round 9, at the Premier Boxing Champions night in Los Angeles. This was the second victory of the Lithuanian this year.

Stanionis, 26, sent his opponent to the floor with a left hand to the body in the second round. Gonzalez allowed Stanionis to box at mid-range and had constant defensive problems.

The Lithuanian used strong combinations with both hands. In the eighth round, Gonzalez was knocked down for the second time, this time after the right to the chin. The fight ended in the ninth round after the right hook.
