Yoka beats Hammer on points

In the main event of the evening in Nantes, France, Olympic Heavyweight Champion of Rio 2016 Tony Yoka (10-0, 7 KOs) defeated Christian Hammer (25-7, 15 KOs) via unanimous decision. The scores were 100-89 all the board. In the sixth round, the referee deducted one point from the Hammer for a punch thrown after the stop command.

Despite the confident victory, the fight was not easy for Yoka. Even in the last two rounds, when Hammer looked pretty exhausted, Yoka did not manage to inflict ever significant damage on him. Victory is victory, but compared to the explosive win in his previous fight, when Johann Duhaupas was knocked out in the first round, this time Yoka's performance did not look so brilliant.
