The fight of Ryan Garcia (20-0, 17 KOs) and Luke Campbell (20-3, 16 KOs) has been postponed to January 2. The fight was supposed to take place on December 5, but the Briton contracted the coronavirus, which knocked him out of training for 10 days.
The new date of the fight was officially confirmed by the DAZN platform. Campbell has already returned to the gym and continued training. Garcia last fought in February.
At stake there will be an interim WBC lightweight title. The winner of this bout will also be the mandatory contender for Devin Haney, who holds the regular World Boxing Council lightweight title.
