Oscar De La Hoya announced that Ryan Garcia's (20-0, 17 KOs) fight against Luke Campbell (20-3, 16 KOs) could be postponed to December 19. The fight was supposed to take place on December 5, but the Briton contracted the coronavirus, which excluded him from training for 10 days.
Campbell is now isolated and doing well. He also said that he will resume preparations soon and that he will be ready to meet Garcia at the end of the year, which is good news for the DAZN platform.
At stake there will be the interim WBC lightweight title. The winner of this fight will also become a mandatory contender for Devin Haney, who holds the regular World Boxing Council championship title in the weight category up to 135 pounds.
