Gervonta Davis vs Leo Santa Cruz

The pace of the fight was high from the very beginning. Davis pressed and tried to dominate the opponent, to which the Mexican responded with activity. The American focused on single, but heavier punches.

Santa Cruz was still famous for its high impact resistance, but the American fighter hurt his opponent several times in the opening rounds. It all ended in the sixth round after a crushing left uppercut. At the time of the stoppage of the fight, Davis was leading with a slight difference on all the judges' scorecards (48-47 three times). The stakes in the fight were the WBA featherweight and super featherweight belts.

At the evening, former super lightweight champion Regis Prograis (25-1, 21 KOs) returned to the ring, stopping Juan Eraldes (16-1-1, 10 KOs) in the third round. In his next fight, the American will have to cross gloves with Mario Barrios (26-0, 17 KOs), who defeated Ryan Karl (18-3, 12 KOs) by TKO in the sixth round in San Antonio.
