The fight of IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) against Kubrat Pulev (28-1, 14 KOs) is tentatively scheduled for November. According to many, this will be just the backstory of Tyson Fury's clash against Anthony Joshua next year, but Peter Fury, Tyson's former coach, asks not to underestimate the Bulgarian boxer. Peter's son Hughie Fury lost to Pulev in 2018 in the IBF eliminator.

“Pulev is a cautious and calculating opponent who is difficult to hit. He will enter the ring well prepared, he is really very motivated. He has a good left jab. He is a very underrated boxer. He needs to be broken gradually, and AJ will have to take a risk in this fight, because a left-left-right combination will not work against Pulev, no matter how sharp it is,” Peter Fury said.

“AJ has to attack hard and be explosive and smart in the ring at the same time. You can bet on Joshua in this fight, but you can't ignore Pulev in any case either. He is a professional in all his glory. A serious, dangerous battle awaits us. If AJ is not 100% focused, victory could slip out of his hands again. Everyone expects famous players to win, but it's not easy,” Peter Fury added.

“Pulev knows how to crush opponents. If she gets into his rhythm, he can crush AJ too. This is not a fight where Joshua can box, because that would be perfect for the Bulgarian. It is difficult to get rid of him. If AJ needs our help, Hughie is ready to help him, and they can train together,” Peter Fury added.
