The Nevada State Athletic Commission along with the Top Rank promotion decided to change the safety protocol used on boxing evenings after a break of coronavirus pandemic. It was initially established that if any member of the boxing team passes a positive coronavirus test, the boxer himself is automatically removed from the fight card.

This situation led to the cancellation of several fights in June. According to the new rules, in such cases, boxers are sent to isolation, and each situation is considered individually in consultation with a medical expert. The boxer in this case will be required to undergo an additional test for coronavirus, but he will be allowed to fight if his result is negative.

New rules have already been applied during the evenings in Las Vegas. Thanks to this, one of them saved all the fights of the evening. According to the old rules, three fights from this card would have been canceled.
