Boxing is discussing the subject of two great fights for all the heavyweight belts - Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - to be held next year, although so far these are only preliminary rumors. Promoter of Joshua Eddie Hearn, meanwhile, lives up to the expectations of British fans who would like these fights to take place on their land.
“If we can organize a fight of Joshua and Fury in the UK, it will be fine, but we know that Saudi Arabia would also like to have this fight at their home. AJ's last fight against Andy Ruiz in Saudi Arabia was a great experience. We also have offers from China and other places from all over the world. This is the biggest fight in boxing,” Hearn said.
“Every country that organizes big events wants this fight at home. Everyone in the UK will talk about the fight with us, but it doesn’t work like that. We must submit proposals to boxers. This is a dangerous sport and they must earn their money. We plan to have two fights, so they can take place in two different places,” the head of Matchroom Boxing added.
Before this, Fury will have a third fight against Deontay Wilder, and Joshua will be required to hold a mandatory defense against Kubrat Pulev. In the background there are other mandatory challengers - Dillian Whyte (requiring a fight against Fury) and Oleksandr Usyk, who may soon require a fight against Joshua.
