Quite a hypothetical heavyweight bout without a place and date has already caused a stir among betting fans. A new batch of rumors, which appeared around the fight between two world champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, forced the bookies to open their quotes.
Today, bookmakers favor Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs), as is the case with the much more likely third fight against Deontay Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs), which the promoters hope to hold in the 4th quarter of 2020. Bets on Fury in all British confrontation are accepted at a coefficient of −200 (you need to bet $200 to win another $100), while on Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) +175 (for every $100 of bet you can win $175 more) .
Although the battle is still far from being officially confirmed, it will be the first time that Joshua will act as an underdog in betting over the course of his stellar career. The 2012 Olympic champion and two-time world heavyweight champion was even a favorite before his rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr. last December, six months after his sensational first career loss by knockout in the 7th round.
Joshua was a 33-1 favorite in the first fight and a modest favorite of 2-1 in their rematch, when he defeated Ruiz on points. Most likely, he would have been a favorite over Fury at any other moment of his career until June last year.
