Queensberry Promotions, the organization advocating for the interests of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs), made an official statement confirming that negotiations were held for the unification fight with the representatives of the WBA, WBO and IBF champion Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs). However, the message contained a reservation that so far no details had been agreed upon.

“At the moment, the contracts have not been signed yet. Also, there is no agreement regarding the date, place and other key issues. However, both sides agreed that the first battle purses will be distributed on 50/50 ratio and a second battle will required,” Queensberry Promotions said in a statement.

What purses for Fury and Joshua can be expected in this boxing megafight? According to the promoter of the “King of the Gypsies” Frank Warren, both boxers can earn up to 60-70 million dollars each, and these amounts can be doubled in the planned rematch.
