Ferguson makes weight, although UFC 249 is canceled

Tony Ferguson did what he promised - he made lightweight limit. If UFC 249 had not been canceled, today El Cucuy would have to go through the mandatory weigh-in procedure. Even after it became known that the tournament was canceled, Tony decided to go all the way and said that on the morning of April 18 he would show the lightweight limit on the scales. The fighter kept his word.

Ferguson made weight on the day the weigh-in was due to take place before the fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 249, ESPN informs.

UFC 249 was supposed to be held on the morning of April 19 in the Indian reservation.
