Alvarez vs Murata on May 3 in Japan?
Negotiations are under way on organizing a fight between Saul Alvarez (53-1-2, 36 KOs) and Ryota Murata (16-2, 3 KOs). The duel could take place on May 3 in Japan. Several American journalists reported on these negotiations in social networks, including Mike Coppinger and Chris Mannix. Negotiations on this issue can be completed in the nearest future.
Earlier it was reported that the main candidates for a meeting with Canelo are Billy Joe Saunders and Callum Smith. But, as it turned out, Murata was the first choice of Alvarez, and, most likely in the spring the Mexican boxer would debut in front of a Japanese audience.
This will be the fourth appearance of Canelo within a record contract with DAZN platform. Under the terms of this agreement Canelo should earn at least $30 million for each of his fights.
