The bout of Dereck Chisora (32-9, 23 KOs) and the former undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (17-0, 13 KOs) could take place on March 7 in Manchester. Negotiations for this fight has been going on for several weeks.
It is possible that the fight of Chisora and Usyk will soon be finalized and officially confirmed. Recently fighters met on the evening of boxing in Saudi Arabia, in the main event of which Anthony Joshua became a two time world champion, regaining the titles in a rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr.
It is also possible that there will be an interim WBO title at stake in the potential fight of Chisora and Usyk. The Ukrainian is the official challenger for the WBO belt, and Chisora has recently appeared in the rating of the World Boxing Organization.
Usyk made his debut at the Royal weight category in his last professional performance, defeating Chazz Witherspoon. Chisora last boxed in October, when he knocked David Price out. As part of the March boxing evening there may be a battle for the European light heavyweight title between Callum Johnson and Igor Mikhalkin.
