WBO gave Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) and Oleksandr Usyk (17-0, 13 KOs) teams 30 days to agree on the organization of the fight for a world heavyweight title. If by that time no agreement is reached, the World Boxing Organization will appoint purse bids.

The minimum amount which can be offered for the application is one million dollars. Usyk as a former cruiserweight champion automatically became the official challenger for the heavyweight title.

Joshua also has a mandatory challenger for the IBF belt. Kubrat Pulev is the official candidate nominated by the International Boxing Federation. The Briton is scheduled to meet the Bulgarian at the end of May so as not to lose the title.
