A former heavyweight title contender Carlos Takam (37-5-1, 28 KOs) has signed a contract with Top Rank, which together with Star Boxing will promote him in the near future. The Cameroonian to return to the ring at the beginning of next year on one of the ESPN events.
38-year-old Takam defeated Craig Lewis on points in September and scored a second victory after last year's defeat at the hands of Derek Chisora. Recently, Takam was about to fight Oleksandr Usyk, but in the end the duel with the Ukrainian did not take place.
