Tyson Fury (29-0-1, 20 KOs) because of the deep cut could not take part in a press conference after a victorious fight against Otto Wallin (20-1, 13 KOs). His promoter Frank Warren assured, however, that the injury of "King of the Gypsies" is not a threat for a rematch with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KOs), scheduled for February 22.
"We still have five months. Let them first lay stitches and see what to do next. The doctor of the local commission, with whom I spoke, however, said that although the wound is deep, it will not be difficult to sew up," said Warren.
"Everything will heal. It should not affect our plans," said the promoter of the former world heavyweight champion.
