Ferguson refuses to become a substitute for Khabib or Poirier

Tony Ferguson, former interim UFC lightweight champion received an offer to become the replacement for Khabib Nurmagomedov or Dustin Poirier if one of them pulls off the fight. El Cucuy refused, stating that he is a former champion with the winning streak of 12 matches. Tony said that he needed a full title shot, not a replacement.

Nurmagomedov vs Poirier is scheduled for September 7 in Abu Dhabi as part the main event of UFC 242.
