IBF demand Commey to defend against Lopez

IBF officially ordered its lightweight champion Richard Commey (29-2, 26 KOs) to meet Teofimo Lopez (14-0, 11 KOs), who is the official challenger for the title of the International Boxing Federation.

Both fighters are fighting under Top Rank banner, which means that the organization of the fight should not be difficult. However, if this does not happen, the organizer of the fight will be determined on a purse bids on 7 September.

32-year-old Commey won the IBF belt in February and defended it in June, beating Raymundo Beltran. Lopez got the right to fight for the title, defeating Masayoshi Nakatani in July.
