The current world champion Rob Brant of US and the challenger from Japan former world champion and Olympic gold medalist Ryota Murata showed the same weight of 159.25 lb on the scales on the eve of their battle for the regular WBA middleweight title, which will be held tomorrow Friday, July 12, at EDION arena in Osaka, Japan.
This will be the second meeting of Murata (14-2, 11 KOs) and Brant (25-1, 17 KOs). In their first battle, which took place nine months ago in Las Vegas, Brant defeated Murata by unanimous decision and took his world title.
The evening of boxing will take place in Osaka, Japan, on the local Fuji TV, in the US it will be ESPN. The broadcast start on Friday morning, July 12, at 7 am ET.
