Crawford may face Kavaliauskas

Egidijus Kavaliauskas (21-0-1, 17 KOs) is likely to become the next opponent for the WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford (35-0, 26 KOs). The bout may take place in October on the evening of boxing, organized in Omaha, the hometown of Crawford.

31-year-old Lithuanian last boxed in March, bringing the fight to a draw with Ray Robinson. Kavaliauskas is the leader of the World Boxing Organization rankings, and meeting with him should be mandatory title defense for Crawford.

Crawford had one fight this year. In April, the American stopped Amir Khan of UK. The following year, Crawford can please fans with his meeting with Errol Spence Jr.
