Former world champion in two weight categories Amir Khan (33-5, 20 KOs) underwent a surgery on his right elbow. The Briton has already commented on the surgery:

“Hi guys, today I had a surgery on my elbow area. Ever since the last fight, I felt pain when I threw a right punch. A bone growth was formed inside the elbow joint, which interfered with normal movement and caused pain. I hope I'll be back in the ring soon. Boxing is a tough sport in which you have to work and train a lot, and this leads to such injuries. To cope with these injuries, it is necessary to seek the help of doctors. Therefore, I hope that I will not get such injuries anymore,” Khan said.

“I'll be back stronger than before. It hurt me in my last bout. I plan to resume training in three to four weeks. I look forward to returning to the ring," added Khan.
