Hearing on Kovalev’s case attacking a woman to be held on April 19

The next hearings in the court in the city of San Bernardino, California, in the case of an attack on a woman suspected by WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev of Russian, will be held on April 19.

Kovalev was detained by police in June last year on suspicion of beating a woman. He was charged with assault with the use of force, which resulted in serious injury, he was later released on bail. At the first court hearings, which took place in August 2018, Kovalev pleaded not guilty. He faces up to four years in prison.

The portal notes that a lawsuit against the 36-year-old Russian may interfere with the process of organizing his fight with the Briton Anthony Yarde.
