Bivol is ready to fight Kovalev in August

WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol is ready to fight in the unification bout with the WBO belt holder Sergey Kovalev in August. This was stated by Bivol’s manager Vadim Kornilov.

“Bivol is ready to meet Kovalev in August. This is by far the biggest fight that can take place at light heavyweight,”said Kornilov.

In mid-March, the WBO ordered Kovalev to begin negotiations with mandatory challenger Briton Anthony Yarde.
