Christine, the wife of the former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson, appealed to the police with a request to protect her and her child from her husband. Since the beginning of January 2018, the athlete’s wife has filed five applications, including three last month.
Lately police squads have been repeatedly summoned to the Ferguson couple. A week before the last appeal, Tony took their two-year-old son while his wife was with his parents, and changed all the locks in the house.
On February 19, police checked the state of Ferguson after a fighter threatened an unknown person. In addition, a neighbor of Ferguson claimed that Tony "didn’t slept for three days and destroyed everything in the house." Another witness went to the police after a fighter told him that he had broken a fireplace because “someone was inside his house.” Ferguson also claimed that he had "induced chip in the leg."
On January 16, Christina Ferguson called the police, saying that she was worried about her husband’s condition, although he had done no harm to anyone. According to her statement, Tony poured holy water on her and his son, and his condition worsened.
It is also reported that in January last year, the police twice visited the house of Ferguson. The athlete’s stepfather claimed that Tony lost control of himself and drove him out of the house.
