Cieslak stops Kalenga

Michal Cieslak (18-0, 12 KO) passed the exam. The Pole showed a wise and balanced boxing in Legionow, Poland, forcing Youri Kayembre Kalenga (24-6, 17 KO) to surrender in the seventh round.

A fighter from Radom from the first minutes boxed wisely and calmly, disciplining his more experienced opponent with accurate counters. "El Toro" admittedly remained a great threat, but he went on power and quickly gave away to the stronger Cieslak initiative. He did not get it back to the end.

Michal's powerful blows caused that appeared an injury over the left eye of the Frenchman. In the fifth round, both boxers accidentally bumped with their heads, causing Kalenga's injury only to deepen. Fortunately, he was not very dangerous and the referee did not have to interrupt the fight.

In the sixth round, Cieslak hit his opponent with a left hook, but the former cruiserweight world champion took it without a wink. It was clear, however, that Kalenga is more and more devastated, and that with every next minute he has less and less desire to continue. In the seventh round Cieslak connected on his opponent to with the strong left hook, but there wasn’t enough time to finish the job. The Frenchman, however, already had enough and when the bell sounded announcing the beginning of the eighth round, he decided to stay in his corner.
