General Secretary of the Boxing Federation of Russia Umar Kremlev is convinced that the former cruiserweight champion Murat Gassiev (26-1, 19 KOs) is superior in the skills to the undisputed world champion Oleksandr Usyk (16-0, 12 KOs), and noted that the Russian easily be able to defeat him in rematch.

“We have a task – to hold a rematch. If Usyk does not quit boxing, then we will achieve the second fight. Rematch will happen. I am sure that Murat will win easily. It’s just Murat needs to box in a different way, as Yegor Mekhontsev did.

“Usyk is a good guy. He leaves a good impression. But if we talk about the sports component, then I think Murat is better than him. Just for the first fight the wrong tactic was chosen. It is necessary to listen to Mekhontsev.”

Earlier it became known that Gassiev will return to the ring in April.
