Alexander Povetkin of Russia does not intend to end his professional career and is going to fight next April. This was announced by the athlete himself, whose words are given by the press service of the promotion company World of Boxing.
In September, the 39-year-old Povetkin lost to Anthony Joshua by knockout in the seventh round. Later, the Russian athlete underwent surgery on the elbow joints of both hands.
“The surgery went well, I am recovering now, I will soon gradually resume the training,” Povetkin said. “As I said before, I don’t intend to quit boxing. I will prepare for the fight, I hope, as planned, it will be April.”
