Italian boxer dies in hospital after fight in Thailand

Italian boxer Christian Dagio died in Thailand a few days after being knocked out by his rival in a fight. In October, the 49-year-old boxer was defeated by the representative of Thailand, Don Paruang, in the 12th round fight, which was held in Rangsit. In the last round, the Italian received several powerful punches, the referee stopped the fight. Doctors assisted the unconscious Dagio out of the ring, after which he was sent to the hospital. The boxer spent several days in a coma due to a severe brain injury, and then died.

Dagio before the fight with Paruang scored 10 wins in 10 fights in the professional ring. He also participated in fights by the rules of mixed martial arts and Muay Thai.
