Despite the fact that Efe Ajagba (6-0, 5 KOs) reached the quarter-finals of the Olympic Games and scored several quick victories in the pros, few people heard of him until last Friday when his rival Curtis Harper (13-6, 9 KOs) left the ring immediately after the bell. The Nigerian commented on the situation that has developed around his last fight.

"I noticed at the weigh-in that he is afraid," said Ajagba. “He came up to me and said that he saw my fights and asked me not to be angry with him. But why should I feel sorry for him? This is my life!"

"Until then, four opponents refused to meet me, because they did not want to fight. Harper was the fifth. He signed the contract, and when you sign the contract, you get money for the fight, and must go into the ring. He really went into the ring, but immediately left it," Ajagba added.
