Rodriguez injured, fight with Magomedsharipov canceled

Spectacular Mexican UFC featherweight Yair Rodriguez was injured and will not be able to enter the fight with the Russian Zabit Magomedsharipov, that was scheduled for September 8 at the UFC 223. At the moment the leadership of the promotion urgently searches for a new rival for the Russian.

Meanwhile, Magomedsharipov made it clear that he is still going to fight Rodriguez in the foreseeable future: "Whether you are injured or not, I will still fight. And you prepare your mind for the battle. I'll fight with someone else in September, and then we'll meet with you in November or December. Don’t run from me," wrote Zabit on Twitter.
