Adesanya beats Tavares (video)

In the main event of TUF 27 Finale, the Nigerian middleweight Israel Adesanya scored a convincing victory over Brad Tavares.

The first round turned out to be equal, but in the second five minutes Adesanya took clear advantage. The Nigerian fighter was much more active, landing heavy strikes in the rack, and also made several attempts to submission. Tavares several times tried to transfer the fight to the ground, but the only successful takedown did not bring him dividends.

The unanimous decision of the judges was by Adesanya (49-46, 50-45, 50-45).
