Cherkashyn signes a contract with KnockOut Promotions

22-year-old middleweight Fedir Cherkashyn (8-0, 5 KOs) of Ukraine signed a promotional contract with the Polish organization KnockOut Promotions and in the next fight will enter the ring on May 12 in Polish Walcz. Since last September Cherkashyn trained in Warsaw in the gym of the famous Polish coach Fedor Lapin.

"I just got in the car and drove to Poland. On arrival I came to the gym and said that I wanted to train here, because I'd heard a lot about Lapin. The coach said to come the next day and put me in sparring with Kamil Sheremeta. As a result, the coach allowed me to stay and now I signed a contract with KnockOut Promotions", said Cherkashyn.

"This guy put everything on the boxing, and did everything to come to Poland, to our team," Lapin added. "This February he already fought in the Polish Nysa, and he even paid for himself in this battle. However, even in the gym, I saw that he was capable of. I see a great potential in him. He trains very hard and he knows what he wants to achieve in life."
