Saunders: To beat Alvarez, Golovkin must knock him out

According to WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders, the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBC title holder Gennady Golovkin must KO Saul Alvarez in a possible rematch if he wants to win it. The first meeting of Golovkin and Alvarez this September was controversially judged as a draw.

"Golovkin must go out there and knock him out, because if they go to the cards they will give the fight to Canelo, even if he loses," Saunders said.

According to Billy Joe, while he is waiting for the results of the negotiations on the rematch between Golovkin and Alvarez, and if the parties fail to agree, he will be ready to enter the ring against one of the boxers in the new year.
